Apple Reportedly Developing Curved iPhone Screens, New Touchscreen Sensors


According to the latest report Apple Inc. is developing new curved iPhone screens along with all new touchscreen sensors. Its also said that the new sensors can detect different levels of pressure. Company plans to reveal two curved models in the second half of 2014, features larger displays with glass that curves downward at the edges.

The new iPhone models would come in two taste 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches, both the new models would be Apple’s largest iPhones said the person who reported this news to Bloomberg. Both the models are still under development, and are likely to come by third quarter of next year. Its new touchscreen sensor seems to be quite interesting as new sensor would make drawing and handwriting applications on the iPhone and iPad much, much better. 

Screen size is one of the things where Apple has to catch up to the Android camp,” Dennis Chan, an analyst at Yuanta Financial Holding Co. in Taipei, said, referring to phones using Google Inc.’s operating software. “Innovation in components has been a key for Apple since the first iPhone came out.
