Google Finally Unveils Android Device Manager

Yesterday, Google unveils Android Device Manager a new feature for Android versions 2.2 and up. With the help of this feature Android users will finally be able to locate and, if necessary, remotely wipe data from misplaced smartphones and tablets.

This feature is identical as that of Apple's long-standing "Find My iPhone" service which was launched more than three years ago. The Google version will permit you to ring a phone (even if it's muted) and locate it on a map in real time and clean it if it's been stolen or can't be recovered.

Most of the Android users will have this feature by the end of this month.
